The origin of the name
The very origin of the name “Keno” also has a very interesting story. Some believe that Keno has French origins and comes from the word “quine” i.e. the five winning numbers. Others agree that Keno is of Latin origin and it comes from the Latin word “quini” which can be translated as “five each”. But no matter how the word is translated by the researchers of the language, they all agree on one thing: Keno is a numerical game which main goal is to win large amounts of money and win them quickly.
